NEW ON SITE
On behalf of the Grand Lodge, I am pleased to announce that Craig Dennis, Beta Omega 59, has been selected as the Fraternity's new Executive Director.
Brother Dennis will begin his employment on September 5, 2000. Brother Dennis has extensive fraternity experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to this key position. Currently, he serves as Southeast Regional Director. He has been active in the Beta Omega Alumni Association and co-founded the Theta Xi Alumni Club of Greater Charlotte, NC. Craig was initiated into Theta Xi in the spring of 1974; he graduated from Virginia Tech in 1976 with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.
Please join me in welcoming Brother Dennis to the position of Executive Director. I am confident of his ability to lead us and continue our efforts in recruitment, alumni involvement, communications, and in the other areas of fraternal and business interests.
Brother Dennis will serve us initially in a "virtual office" concept, operating out of his home in Charlotte. Information about how to reach him by telephone and electronically will be announced soon. I have requested that he travel to St. Louis as soon as possible to review our operations and begin the transition into this position. The Grand Lodge has agreed to keep an office open in St. Louis for some time ahead, before deciding on the best long-term business interests of the fraternity.
We are extremely grateful for Scott Berry's leadership since last September. Scott will become Associate Executive Director and remain on staff through our next convention. Please continue to give Scott your support and assistance.
I'm also announcing that six highly qualified alumni applied for the Executive Director's position. This indicates that we have a wealth of resources to support our efforts as we move ahead. Thank you for the privilege of serving as your National President.
Yours in the Bonds,
